R/xx: Sylver Eagle Eye = In my early America's Army days I was called QuickSylver, and I love the name Sylver. I was creating a Ranger so it had something to do with the sharpness of Rangers, so after some consideration I went for Eagle Eye.

W/Mo: Kratos of Cantha = As you all (should) know Kratos is from God of War (PS2). That game pwns hard, so he deserves to live on in other games. In addition it's a cool name. When I created Kratos new information about Chapter 2 arrived, a world called Cantha had landed upon the Guild Wars community. Maybe you could say Kratos is the first player character from the mystic land called Cantha. All hail Kratos of Cantha! :P

Ronin of Elgo Woods: Ronin is a name I use in all games and have for about 5 years now. Means Rogue Samurai. Elgo has to do with real life name and Woods because he is a ranger. His pet Spider is Socoro.

To clear it up elven is a made up language created by JRR Tolkien. It been used by people in singing and actually helps in Role Playing games.
basicly its been turned into a language that can be spoken or written. Same goes for Dark Elven.

Oh Fey is a word for fairy. A small magical creature.

Valentyn is my actual surname. Its the dutch/afrikaans version on the english Valentine.

I find/make up more names than I have character slots.

The latest atrocity: Polyatomic Ian. For an elementalist, of course. My chemistry instructor happened to be discussing polyatomic ions one day. Ion ... Ian, plus the fact when I hear "element" I'm less likely to think of earth, wind and fire than noble gases.

I already have Anonymous Hex and Spring Heeled Jim reserved, so to speak, on existing "temp" characters, PVP and PVE. But I'd love to add Polyatomic Ian and Guy Of Frustration (puns FTW) to my roster on a more permanent basis. Just ... no character slots left.

Lialla Shadowfell was kind of a rushed character create back when I first bought the game and wasn't sure if I would be sticking around. No meaning, but I do like the word shadow =P

Cynnamon Gurl, I chose this because my ex bf, a guy that I loved a great deal and has now passed away told me that this song always reminded him of me.

Lillith of Babylon, Naturally, the seductress and bride of hell, she even has the red hair and pale ivory skin. I just happen to know a lot about such matters....*cough*

Aeon Fuxx, I made this character originally as an assassin for preview weekend, and the whole get up reminded me of Aeon Flux, so, when I deleted that character, I kept the name as I thought it cool and now, it's on my mesmer.

I've joked to my boyfriend several times that I must take the most time of any GW player making up my character names, because I will literally take half an hour to an hour looking up name meanings trying to find the perfect combination for the character I'm trying to create.

My first character, Callista Aurelia (R/Mo), was completely arbitrary. Callista is my favorite name (got it from the star wars novel Children of the Jedi) and what I always name my game characters, and Aurelia just seemed to sound good with it.
Next came Aurora Ember (E/Me), which literally means smouldering dawn, which I thought was fitting for a fire elementalist.
Then I made Teria Chaim (Mo/W), which means vital life, which has served her well in her healing specialization.
Joined the masses of W/Mo's with Arianna Pallaton, which means strong, holy, brave warrior. Self explanitory.
Most recently, on my shared account with my boyfriend, I created Caesaria Decessus (N/Mo), a minion master who's name is latin for Leader of Death.

I'm rather proud of the names I'm come up with thus far, and I already have one picked out for a ritualist in factions. Keeping it to myself till release though. :-)

Go for the really short names now like Lee Cho or Deb Ra think you might be more apt to get invited to a group if they only have a few letters to type. Oh one of my latest characters was Little Debby

forgot a name I liked and have used. Sally Rand, that name is way before everyone's time who plays this game shoot I'm old and it's way before my time she was a famous American stripper back around 90 years ago maybe less.

Ranger: Ocius Peritus
Ocius -> quick. fleet, sooner, faster
Peritus -> skilled, expert

Wortan Thor is my W/Mo and is named after the oldest RPG character I have. Gos back to the Dragon Warriors book series (still looking for 2&3). He has shown up here and there wherever there are barbarian/warriors to play.
He really needs a beard, cleanshaven dont work and he's not Fat enough.
